Skoda is going to launch the Kushaq Monte Carlo variant in India on 9 May. The new car will be offered as a sportier looking variant of the compact SUV that was launched in the Indian market last year. Apart from the attractive exterior treatment, the car will be updated with more features in line with what is currently offered on the current top-spec Kushak SUV.
The new Kushak Monte Carlo will be above all the variants of the existing SUV and will come in a more premium range. It is expected that the company can launch the Kushak Monte Carlo with manual and automatic 1.0 TSI and 1.5 TSI engines. Hence its price will be between ₹ 18 Lakh to ₹ 19.50 Lakh (ex-showroom).
SUV will get a new sporty look
Skoda has earlier launched Monte Carlo variants of many of its models. Similar updates are expected to be introduced on the special variant of the Kushak as well. The model is likely to get a new black-out as well as contrast red highlights throughout the body profile. Other major sporty elements may include a black lip spoiler for the front bumper, sporty diffuser design on the rear bumper, black side skirting, and more. Also, the car will be stamped with a 'Monte Carlo' badge to differentiate it from the regular model.
This update will be available in the exterior and cabin
Talking about the exteriors of the new edition, the Kushak Ho will also be brought with Monte Carlo treatment. While the design and layout will remain the same in this variant, the SUV will get a new sporty blank interior with red color accents. Almost all the features from the Style variant will be carried over to the Monte Carlo trim, however, the SUV is expected to get a few different features too, including a fully digital instrument cluster, which we have already seen in the Slavia and Volkswagen Taigun. Huh.
Two options will be available in the engine
The Kusham Monte Carlo Edition will be offered with two petrol engines, a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder TSI and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder TSI engine. The first makes 113 bhp and 175 Nm of peak torque, the latter makes 148 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox mated to an optional 6-speed automatic transmission on the 1.0-litre TSI, while the 1.5-litre TSI is offered with a 7-speed DSG gearbox.
