You can now generate a plus code for your home location using Google Maps.

Thanks to the latest update, you can now generate a plus code for your home location using Google Maps.
When you save a home location, the app will provide you with a new Use Your Current Location option that will generate a plus code based on your phone's location.
Home location stored with the plus code created can be shared directly from the Saved tab of Google Maps.
If you already have a place marked as your home on Google Maps, you'll see a plus code next to it with more information.

To provide accurate geographic data of your home location to anyone you choose, simply copy the Plus code and add it to your conversation.
Your personal information, such as your name and email address, will not be included in the alphanumeric code.
Your home address is also recorded in your personal Google Maps profile and is not visible to the public as a nearby location on the app.
You can also use the plus code to change or remove your home address directly from Google Maps.
The new Google Maps interface was first made available to Android users.
However, it will be made available for iOS users in the coming days.
Announcing the upgrade in a blog post, Google said that the India-First function is aimed at providing accurate home addresses through Google Maps.
According to Google, this function was first tested a month ago in India.
According to the firm, more than 300,000 people in the country have already signed up to use it for their home addresses.
